NPC Concrete Scores Highly in Industry Audit

Editorial

Park Rynie’s NPC Concrete plant has earned a prestigious Platinum score (in excess of 90%) from the respected Southern African Ready-Mix Association (SARMA), the industry self-regulating organisation which annually conducts these audits.  The Platinum achievement marks an improvement for the respected Mid-Coast concrete supplier which earned a Gold rating in 2008.

What does this mean for the Mid-Coast builder?  NPC Concrete Park Rynie Plant Manager Solomon Nkosi explains, “This is a very comprehensive audit that covers everything from our approach to worker safety and environmentally responsible procedures to ready-mix product excellence so it reminds local builders and contractors what they can expect to receive from NPC.  It’s not an easy score to achieve so we’re naturally very pleased with the result.”

NPC Concrete Managing Director Avi Bhoora credits a strong team spirit and work ethic at the plant.  “Everyone at the plant working together is the reason for this success.  It’s a good morale builder and it shows our clients that everyone here is pulling in the same direction.”

The other NPC Concrete plants in KZN also scored highly in the SARMA audits, including their sister Margate plant which achieved a Platinum Plus rating in 2009.
